Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Read how Aidly Buddy collects, uses and shares information before publishing content or granting device permissions.

1. Scope

This policy applies to Aidly Buddy for Android (com.abappmobile.aidly.buddy) and related aidlybuddy.com services, including service discovery, work profiles, bookings and communication. Other users may save or redistribute information you publish.

2. Information collected

We process account identifiers, email, names and profile images obtained during Google or Facebook sign-in; details you enter such as phone number, date of birth, gender, language, address and emergency contacts; work services, experience, hours, service areas, prices and portfolio images; posts, images, likes, saved items, reviews, bookings and messages.

3. Location and permissions

With your permission, approximate or precise foreground location supports nearby discovery, service-radius checks and location sharing in posts. Shared post or work-profile locations may be visible to users who access those items. Background SOS tracking is not enabled in this release. You can revoke location, camera, photo or notification permissions in device settings; related features may then be unavailable.

4. Photos, camera and messages

Camera or selected photos are accessed when you add profile, cover, portfolio or post images. Selected images are uploaded to system file storage for their intended display. Messages are processed by the service and delivered to your conversation partner; do not assume end-to-end encryption. Avoid sending health details, identity documents or information about others without authority to share it.

5. Device and usage data

Technical data may include IP address, app/device information, request and error logs, consent evidence and Firebase Cloud Messaging notification tokens. These support operation, security and troubleshooting. The device stores language settings, session-related information and some saved-provider or viewed-post state.

6. Purposes and processing grounds

We use data to operate accounts, profiles, content, local matching, bookings, messaging, notifications, reviews, account requests, security and legal obligations. Applicable processing grounds may include providing the contracted service, legal duties, legitimate interests or consent. Device permission and consent for personal-data processing are distinct.

7. Sharing

Work profiles, posts, images and reviews may be visible to other users. Booking participants may receive relevant dates, addresses and job details; messages are visible to conversation partners. Hosting, database, storage, sign-in, notification and advertising providers process information necessary for their services. Authorized support/security staff may access relevant records. Information may be disclosed to public authorities where legally required.

8. Advertising and third parties

Android uses Google AdMob. Depending on consent and settings, its SDK may process advertising ID, device information, IP address, ad engagement and diagnostics under Google policies. Ad privacy options are available in the profile menu when supported by the SDK, and advertising ID can be controlled in device settings. Google/Facebook sign-in, Firebase messaging, OpenFreeMap/OpenStreetMap and Google Maps have their own policies. Map requests send connection information and requested map areas to map providers.

9. Sensitive data and future features

KYC, health records, in-app payments and SOS are not active services in Phase 1. These workflows do not request KYC documents or health records in this release. New sensitive-data features require updated disclosures and appropriate notices or consent before activation. Avoid adding sensitive details to ordinary job descriptions or chat.

10. Retention and security

Data is retained as needed for service delivery, security, disputes and legal obligations; periods differ by data type. Production API connections use HTTPS, protected endpoints require tokens and access is restricted by permissions. No system guarantees complete security. Service providers may process data internationally.

11. Rights and account deletion

You can edit your profile, export your data and submit an account-deletion request from Profile > additional menu > Delete account. The system records a request with a 30-day waiting period and permits cancellation where the request status allows. Submission does not immediately erase all records. Legal, security or dispute-related records may be retained; backups follow their management cycle. Contact the operator to request applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal does not invalidate prior lawful processing.

12. Children and updates

The service is not designed to collect data directly from children. If information concerns a child or another person you care for, provide only necessary information with appropriate authority or consent. Contact the operator about inappropriate collection. This policy may change as features and data practices evolve; its latest revision date is displayed here.
